Enrichment Clubs

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math will all have their turn in our fun-filled after-school club. The club will be run by Mrs. Heather Simoulidis and Mrs. Kerrie Cortigiano who both teach Fours and love teaching STEAM to kids, and know how to make learning fun! This 9-week session will be open to Fours and Fundamentals students. Class size is limited to 10 children. Please note that registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email.

Come join 3s teachers Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Sweeney for a fun time with songs and stories. Together Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Sweeney have 38 years of experience working with children. We wil be learning songs, using musical instruments, and exploring stories. Class size is limited to 10 children. Children in our 4s and Fundamentals will love learning their way around the kitchen with Chef Geelan during this session. Ms. Geelan is an Assistant Teacher in our Fundamentals program. She was born in the Philippines and spent her formative years in South America, the Caribbean and South Africa. She received a BA from Rhodes University and is a graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC. She worked in the test kitchen of the Martha Stewart Living television show where her most notable experience was cooking for President Clinton and General Colin Powell, alongside notable chef personalities. Class size is limited to 10 children. Children in our 4s and Fundamentals will have a great time expressing their creative side in this arts and crafts session with Mrs. Gaskin and Mrs. Williams, both of whom currently teach the Threes program. Each week the children will enjoy working on a project and learning about different art materials, artists, and techniques. Class size is limited to 10 children. A fun introduction to soccer, this club is open to 4s and fundamentals and will be run by Mrs. Sydney Abelson, our admissions manager here at Landmark Preschool! Mrs. Abelson has played soccer for many years and went on to play collegiately. Before her time at Landmark, she was coaching a range of age groups, running a variety of youth clubs and clinics. Most recently she was a coach at Fairfield University.

Each class will be filled with fun, games and an introduction to many different skills. Your little one will enjoy this developmentally appropriate introduction to soccer! Sneakers and water bottles are required. Classes will be held on Wednesdays in our gym. Please note that registration is not complete until you receive a confirmation email.

Try our after-school Yoga Club with one of our terrific 2s teachers, Ms. Bailey Hogan! This program will include age appropriate breath work, poses, yoga games, mindfulness & focused movement. No yoga mat needed. Ms. Hogan has taught preschool for 8 years and has incorporated yoga in the classroom for various age groups. She is always excited to share the benefits of yoga with children, creating classes around weekly themes and integrating principles of yoga for mindfulness, movement, and fun! Learning Karate has countless mental and physical benefits for children. Karate is a dynamic sport, and each of its many aspects can have a positive impact on a child’s mind, body, school and home life, as well as on their growth and development.

Our Little Leopards program is designed for children 3-5 years old, and serves as an introduction to Karate. Children will have fun with tons of running, jumping, and kicking exercises and games while developing important skills such as coordination, balance, and strength. Our classes also help children to kick-start their memory and cognitive development through learning basic Karate movements and forms. Class size is limited to 12 children.
