Extended Care Programs

Before-Care/After-Care

Landmark Preschool - Ridgefield offers a Before and After-Care Program that provides adult supervision for children outside of school hours. Before-Care offers quiet activities in the classroom, while After-Care offers a variety of activities: table games, arts & crafts, outdoor recess, and a soft space to relax. Children in our 2s After-Care program are given the opportunity to nap each day. The ratio is one adult to four children for the 2s Extended Day program with a maximum program size of eight children. For 3s and 4s, the program ratio is one adult to six children with a maximum of 12 students. Details for this program are noted below. To enroll your child in the Extended Care program, please complete the registration form found on this page.

 

 

Extended Care Policies

Before-Care begins at 7:30 a.m.

The 2s After-Care program has four options for pick up:
2:00 | 3:30 | 4:30 | 5:30
The 3s and 4s After-Care program offers three options for pick up:
3:30 | 4:30 | 5:30

For children attending After-Care, please send a snack/drink (labeled: After-Care) with them. Please note: Ridgefield Academy/Landmark Preschool is a nut-aware school.

If you need to reach the school during Extended Care hours, please call the Main Office at 203.894.1800. Please note: Parking is not permitted curbside in front of the Summit Building between 3:15 and 3:45 due to bus dismissal. Vehicles must be parked in vacant spaces.

Early Dismissal Days: After-Care will not be held on any early dismissal days.

Late Fee Policy: All children attending After-Care must be picked up by 5:30PM. For any child not picked up by 5:30PM, a late fee of $25 will be charged. Please be mindful about picking up your child on time. Multiple late pick-ups can result in dismissal from the Extended Care program.

Deadline: Registrations are requested by August 31. While registration forms are accepted on a space-available basis throughout the year, the regular user rate will only be offered until November 30.

Registration Details

REGULAR (DAILY) USERS

If you would like to enroll your child as a regular user of the Extended Care program, please complete the online form below. While completing the form, you will be asked to select the day(s) of the week on which your child will use the program(s). The fee per day (shown in parentheses) is a single annual charge billed at the beginning of the school year and is nonrefundable (e.g., snow days, student absences, etc.).

DROP-IN USERS

If needed, you may use Extended Care on an occasional (drop-in) basis. You do not need to complete the online form for occasional use of the Extended Care program. For drop-in users, the daily rate for Before-Care is $16/day. After-Care rates are below.

Drop-in users must call in advance to request Extended Care for their child. As a drop-in user, we ask that you call no later than 11:00 a.m. to check After-Care availability, and two days in advance for Before-Care availability. Please be aware that there is no guarantee that a space will be available for your child.
