Landmark Preschool is affiliated with Ridgefield Academy, an independent day school in Ridgefield, CT with students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. Our Landmark Preschools have programs for children ages one - five at our Ridgefield, Redding and Westport, CT locations and Bedford, NY.
Faculty Assignments
Landmark Preschool is staffed with both head teachers and assistant teachers. All faculty are expected to have expertise at the age level and/or within the subject areas for the position. In addition, it is essential to have demonstrated the ability to create a flexible educational program and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. It is expected that all employees agree to perform additional assigned duties such as supervision of student activities and trips, and attendance at school events.

Assistant Teacher - Twos
The assistant teacher will assist the head teacher by implementing the planned activities and lessons plans using the framework for the program. The assistant teacher must be able to effectively support the head teacher as well as students through a variety of methods and using positive encouragement supporting the mission of the school and the curriculum.
The successful candidate must possess a strong love for children and a willingness to work as part of a team to create positive learning communities within the classroom that acknowledges and respects children's social and emotional interactions and growth.
The hours for this position are from 8:30am until 1:30pm.
Early childhood teaching experience is required and a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Assistant Teacher - Fours
Landmark Preschool’s Westport Campus is seeking an assistant teacher in our 4’s classroom. This is a two-day a week assignment.
