Ann Hirsch
Director, Landmark - Redding and Landmark - Bedford
Preschool is defined as a place intended for children between infancy and school age, but at Landmark it is so much more. It is a place where children learn to make friends, share favored items, laugh at themselves, and sometimes even learn that they don’t know everything. It is a place where our youngest students learn the skills for future schooling, while also learning how to explore, show compassion for others, paint, and sing our days away.

I am truly fortunate to spend my days in the company of kind, compassionate, inspirational teachers who greet our families and their children each morning and seek to make this first start in school the foundation on which all else will be built. Every day our teachers strive to meet the needs of each student and help them grow and stretch beyond their comfort zones to become confident little learners.

Parents have many preschool choices, but they choose Landmark because we embrace every child and help them to discover all the world has to offer.

Director, Landmark - Ridgefield
Early childhood is a time of curiosity, enthusiasm and boundless energy. It is these beginning years that set the imprint of how a child views themselves as part of the world in which they live.

Our goals are to provide a warm and safe environment where each child can build confidence and a sense of security, while developing their social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.

Landmark Preschool has been educating preschoolers for over 35 years and understand how important their first experience beyond the home is to their overall development. Our exceptional preschool teachers provide differentiated learning strategies to best meet each child’s interest and needs.

We have developed our program to be flexible with schedules and hours in order to meet the needs of each child and family.

Director, Landmark - Westport
Early childhood is such an exciting time in a child’s life! There is so much happening intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The experiences a child has during these early years has such a tremendous impact on their future growth and development.

To me, as an educator, this is such an exciting opportunity to give children the kinds of beneficial experiences that will lay the strong foundation for them to build on as they go forward. There are so many gifts we can give children at this age that will last a lifetime, and the joy of being a Director at Landmark is working with an incredible faculty and wonderful families who share this commitment to offering our children the highest possible quality preschool experience. We never stop growing, we are always looking at how to take what we have and make it richer for the children. It is a school that encourages and supports innovation.

I have worked in education for over twenty years, and this is truly an extraordinary program, and I am so happy to be a part of it.
